It's been through a lot in its life, and you can see it. There's a lot of mojo and nicotine on the body and hardware, we left everything as it is and left any cleaning to the new owner. Obviously, no one had ever taken it apart before us. It's original down to the last screw; only the thumb rest and the ashtray are missing. The frets are also original. While they show obvious signs of wear, the bass plays absolutely buzz-free with low action. The previous owner (Dirk Blümlein, "Fools Garden," Dirk Blümlein Trio) played it for over 20 years as the lead bass on several CDs and at live gigs.
