Details: | This is a very early 1952 Les Paul Goldtop without binding and serial number and a bridge P-90 with diagonal fastening screws. It goes the story that this guitar was a prototype used by Les Paul and equipped with a plug from the frontside as some other of his guitars. Later, a commercial representative of Gibson used it as travel pattern and kept it for a long time. In the 90s it was sold from the family to a Swedish owner from whom we got it. Unfortunately, this story is only covered orally and not fixed in writing. This guitar is still in perfect shape and comes with the original brown hardcase. It was equipped with the Mojo Axx tailpiece wich gives it a percet playbility with the strings leading over and not under the bridge (orig. tailpice is still in the case). |
