Stratocaster [Item #2687] [Build 1965]

this is a 95% original Strat in candy apple red, details are:

3 original double-line Klusons, 3 changed older single-line Klusons.
Backplate of tremolo-carving missing
newer trem-arm knob and newer knob of 3-way switch
all other parts are original and untouched
pickups dated 2-16-65, neck dated JAN 65, pots dated 65-01
the candy apple red finish is original but was sprayed over with clear laquer on the frontside (except under the pickguard) and also on the edges of the backside. It also has got a lot of mojo and nicotin on the body and neck and therefore both look pretty dark.
It is possible to take off the mojo and also something from the clear-coat, but that is a work of weeks to save the original finish.
We can do this but leave this up to the next owner....
The frets are original but show lots of playing wear, the playability ist still great, sound very warm and crispy.
It comes with a newer Fender case and a CITES certification.
